Hello! My name is Irene Gonzalez (she/her). I completed my master’s in social work at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2022, and I am working under supervision in pursuit of my clinical license. I am part of the Latinx community and speak both English and Spanish fluently. I have a deep understanding of immigration, colonialism, stereotypical gender-role narratives, and the need for healing generational trauma in our communities. I also completed The National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training.
I am trauma informed and culturally sensitive and enjoy providing a unique experience where you can share and explore your experiences in a non-judgmental affirming space. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you specifically. I am passionate in supporting Latinx, immigrants, BIPOC, LGBTQ+. I work with people who would like support in trauma, grief/loss, stress, anxiety, depression, adoption, parenting stress, and relationship challenges.
My therapeutic work is inclusive, and honors all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, race and ethnicities, nationalities, cultures, religions and faiths, bodies and abilities. I look forward to helping you on your journey of self-discovery, growth and healing.
